Thought about going to the air and space museum but wish that you had a buddy to go together with? Consider Greenworms! These cuddly scuttley critters love the idea of planes and spacecraft, as they generally all dream of one day soaring through the sky as well. In fact, if you and your Greenworm are close, she's probably already thought about going if it's been brought up before or if she's seen commercials for it on TV/radio. So it won't take much effort to convince your worm that the two of you should go to the museum for a day of fun and enjoyment. Even if your worm is not too interested in going, you could always mention the various space food that they have in the gift shop and how yummy it probably is, which will always make them perk up. Just don't mention that not much of it is vegetables, and none of it unless the museum in question has a restaurant is fresh. Once there you can rest easy, because just about every worm out there will look at the exhibits in awe, as the towering replica aircraft and pictures of people soaring through the air are sure to catch her attention. Unlike some other mamono, you don't have to worry about her not being able to do some of the exhibits due to size constraints as well, as Greenworms' relatively small frame allows them to not only do exhibits meant for adults, but also those meant for children if they happen to catch their eye! Actually, I had a pleasant experience at the local air and space museum myself along with my Greenworm. She saw the ad on television and said that we had to go. Even if she didn't say anything, I don't think I could have resisted surprising her with tickets when I saw the stars in her eyes when that commercial came on. When we got there, she was giggling with excitement, especially when we got to the mamonos in space exhibit. One of the mamono, a Papillon, from the first human-mamono joint space mission was there making a special appearance! I've never seen my Greenworm so giddy before, so much so that she actually climbed up on somebody that wasn't me! The Papillon was very understanding, saying that she reminded herself of how she used to be when she was younger. I guess young Papillon are bright-eyed and cheery too! After my Greenworm got an autograph from her, the two of us went to the rest of the exhibit, which was a replica of the spacecraft that the crew took into space, complete with their living quarters! They even had a recreation of the sleeping bay pods that the crew used, which were small enclosed spaces with bed stuff. My Greenworm was so happy on while clinging to my back that we actually lost balance and fell into one of the pods, which closed on us. It was cramped having 2 people in a space designed for one, which made it tough to move my hands to open the pod door. I can see why the astronauts used these pods, as together with my Greenworm in that close confined space I actually started to get drowsy, almost passing out with my Greenworm on snuggled in on top of me, still looking happy to be experiencing what the astronauts felt. Thankfully, a creaking of the door opening shook me back to, as one of the museum staff heard the thud of the two of us falling into the pod and wanted to make sure we were alright. How embarrassing! My Greenworm was red in the face and somewhat distraught, only cheering up when I bought her a souvenir at the gift shop. All in all, the two of us can easily look back on this day with fond memories, and I believe that you and your Greenworm can experience the same!
