Well before you could self publish but never earn money. Now you can publish under them and charge for the game, sure they aren't going to publish HoloRape Simulator 2014 but they were probably within their rights to shut you down if they didn't like your game anyway. Seems like a win win to me. People would have definitely paid 3-5$ for Holocure and Idol Showdown during their peak of popularity, seems like a smart move to me.
