I honestly didn't even know that you could put an entire sentence into jisho before now. I guess something about it being a dictionary made me only think to look up words not entire sentences.

That kind of goes back to what I was saying about Kanji making things easier. If I can tell what the words are, I know what to type into jisho. In this case I physically typed the "word" into jisho correctly, but the issue was that it wasn't actually a word that existed so obviously its not going to give me a result.

So unless the actual presumed way to use jisho is to put the whole sentence into jisho like its google translate (which is something I would have literally never thought to even try) then I'd have no fucking clue what I was typing wrong without knowing how the words break down in the sentence.
