I tried learning it but failed hard. Not because of lack of effort or something, but I just have really hard time remembering the characters, I could only remember ~5 kana per week and still make lot's of mistakes(grammar is never a problem for me though). Now I think it might be connected with my prosopagnosia.
I wish I could know Japanese, but I guess I'll never be able to read and write in it.
