My parents wouldn't have much room to speak in serious disapproval of me. My mother had an affair and caused the divorce, and my father can't handle money, so neither of them would get very far in a discussion about my faults as a person.

Thus there is always a degree of tension but it never breaks out. It's a cold war because nobody would win if it turned hot.

The cashier heard me, somehow, and actually knew the tune. She smiled at me and asked if I was only into 2D.
