Gura is definitely the face of Hololive in the West, arguably much bigger than the brand itself and I think she's put into the introductory role. She's not positioned to make money or draw viewership figures, she's positioned to be the very first V-tuber that people see. She gets people introduced, she gets their foot in the door and that in turn leads them into throwing money at Coco, Rushia, Pekora, Marine and now Calliope Mori. This is why she has the most subs in the group, she's basically the gateway drug into all the others and Youtube is pushing her content hard.
