Just so we're on the same page I was talking about the singles themselves, not the individual tracks. Both If You Wanna and Everyday sound like and are tie-in songs to mundane household products (washing machines and toothpaste). They're elevated jingles with dull, high-pitched lyrics. The way Kashiyuka sings NEGAI WO KOMETE CHOTTO KI NI NATTERU grates my ears.

Mugen Mirai is a tie-in to the movie Chihayafuru -Musubi-, so Nakata actually put in effort with trying to make a quality (albeit generic) song. Movies>Toothpaste, this is obvious if you've seen him open his mouth. Chihayafuru -Musubi- is a sequel to Chihayafuru which had FLASH as its tie-in. FLASH was extremely successful (certified platinum) and is still their most viewed MV on their Youtube channel, large part due to the movie. That's also why I believe the Mugen Mirai outfits are similar to the FLASH outfits.

Fusion is reminiscent of edge, which we all love to circlejerk about here. It tied into an entertaining performance that was actually worth the hype and futuristic. I do wanna say that I liked the outfits and MV of If You Wanna more than Mugen's. Also I don't hate If You Wanna, I'm okay with it.

The demonstration overall made me way more optimistic for Perfume than the last two singles.
