I saw the 2012 version of JC Superstar. Because I like Tim Minchin, who plays Judas. Mary Magdalene is played by Mel C, from the Spice Girls. The one they used to call "Sporty".

So anyway, at some point during the play, she bares her arms, and she has a tattoo that says "女力". And after a bit of thinking, I came to the realization that she got a bastardized translation of "Girl Power" tattooed.

I wonder what japs think of westerners that do retarded shit like that. You know, like, reverse engrish...

Other than that though, great production. I might even like it better than the '73 movie. I'm actually planning to buy the BD.
