That's also an album and a song I've always loved. I quite love the instrumentals in them too, they always remind me of my childhood games which I wouldn't be surprised sasakure.UK made homage to when making those.
I would say はるのはるか is my 2nd favorite from the album behind Campanella; I believe it was the first sasakure.UK song I heard back then.

I'm not sure how to answer my own question as I'm kind of divided between a few songs.

First part of 2016 was definitely 不眠症 by ヤヅキ (1st version, not album version), which is among my top favorite Vocaloid songs.

But since my question was about 2016 itself I'll pick 心做し since I had already known the two other songs for a while before. On top of that I must say this year was quite a GUMI year to me.
