My first contact with vocaloids was through fanart. Illustrations and MMD. I read up on Hatsune Miku and Vocaloid, other Cryptonloids.
Back then I got excited about the idea of Vocaloid first, before I heard any Vocaloid song I really like, or Vocaloid songs in general besides maybe Ievan Polkka, PoPiPo, and possibly Black Rock Shooter and World is Mine. So I frantically searched for and listened to Vocaloid songs, trying to find something to my taste.
I still have my first Vocaloid folder in which I saved random songs that I liked at least a bit. It's not quite in the original condition as at a few points I cleaned it from songs that I got a better source than YT rip for or songs I didn't really care for, but also not very far from it as I abandoned it as my collection was growing past a dozen of songs and I started organizing it more properly, leaving the folder mostly untouched. チョコレイトオンナノコ definitely was in there and was one of my favorites, though it wasn't one of the first.
Without looking at it, I immediately recalled Psychokinesis, ようこそ恋愛病院へ and The Spinning Angel of the Odd.
Looking at it now, I remembered that 生命付ダッチワイフ was/is actually my favorite out of the Utsu-P songs I discovered first, together with ようこそ恋愛病院へ.

This Merzbow mashup and 2 Utsu-P songs are the 3 songs I associate with the start of my Vocaloid journey the most.
Also remembered liking False Light quite a lot, but I found it later down the line. Didn't get to exploring Apol back then, and eventually forgot about it.
