Not him but always keep potentials at superb (superb only means it is at 200%, so that's quite a bit to the cap of 400%) eat a lot of herbs (a main goal around these levels should be to get an herb farm going, go grab that kumiromi statue and duplicate it with the sister quest, then use it every day that has a 3/6/9 in it for herb seeds). Blessed potions of potential give every stat a whopping 200%, so it's probably wise to quaff only one the moment your potentials go below superb, so as not to waste more potions. I actually only found this out just now and had been drinking several every time.
