>If they like her as a person then they'll keep following her regardless
But nobody knows her?
All the people are following is some kind of image.
Who believes anything that is written in a magazine or twitter. Not even sure she writes herself.

>This also means that these "scandals" are stupid, since she isn't breaking any taboo
Apparently she is, otherwise she wouldn't get that attention.
Face it: She is in the spotlight, and you have to expect things like that. (I think she is causing them but who knows).
Same thing is happening in america too and nobody questions it.
She is an idol, and her viewers are her customers.
If, for whatever reason, she upsets them, she simply fails at her job. Don't like portrying a virgin? Then don't do it.
But don't be suprised that you get hate when you delibaretly push yourself in the spotlight even though people dissagree with you.

Also if she wanted to be just a seiyuu she could have done hat.

Short version:
Aya can whore around.
But I can say she is a slut.
