A little off topic, but ti should be noted that regarding youko preferences the youko book profile implies that the old youko profile was mistranslated (it was an old profile translated by an anonymous source, and so many ended up with errors).

That is rather than stating they tend to go for men with status, its rather that having a youko as a wife tends to enable their husband to gain high status thanks to the power she gives him.

The youko book profile claims nine tailed youkos are rulers of at least parts of the Mist Continent. Albeit that initial info from their book profile paints the Mist as a lot more lust-crazy than it turned out to.
