Yes, and they did in the first half. Now tell me why you would believe that Shion committed the murders instead of Mion when Mion
1. was already portrayed as dangerous and unhinged in the first chapter,
2. was built up as the head of the powerful Sonozaki family which was most likely responsible for the curse since chapter 1 AND
3. admitted to all her crimes while "Shion" didn't say a word about the switch in the finale despite being right there?
