You mean ZUN isn't cute?

What if I said that despite he might try to earn profit from his games, doesn't mean that it'd affect what he do or what he put on the games? He still did anything no other than for his own and none should affect him.
If the fanbase stopped buying his games and he received absolutely zero yen at best he'd just outright stopped, not doing anything to "revive" Touhou by trying to make what'd appeal and demanded by the fans. Though what I can imagine is he'd just stopped producing the manga and print-works, still making the games to be played by his family and friends or at least himself and instead writing some "additional informations" on his notebook for him to read at night to fulfill his autistic fantasies.

I feel that the whole "ZUN do it for profit" is kinda forced down to throat even though many evidence state otherwise. I'm not saying that's not possible but people defend such statement without clear proofs other than strawman to death not different than the fanbase or really thinking as if that someone that works for non-profit can't be existed.

I accept that people think he is bad, deviantart-tier, fanfic-tier, plagiarist, etc. Hell, it's all true, he's on par with tumblrfags or deviantartist, someone you shouldn't care about. He sold his games just like any other amateur doujin works and never stated that his works is original. You're just disturbed that he's somehow popular and try to make him looks like a bad "developer" even though he's just doujin artist.

I don't but ZUN is a good author unlike those money-loving authors and developers.
