Finished Saya Samurai by Hitoshi Matsumoto a few days ago. While I can't really understand if it tried to be funny, or purposely failed to be funny, it did en exellent job at building the characters, and even though some parts of the ending felt forced, it was really a really good ending, specially when this happened (spoilers)

Ive been listening to this a lot the last days..

What's the opinion on Hitoshi as a director in general? I enjoyed Symbold a lot too, more so than Saya Samurai, when you consider all the symbols, the theme of the story and everything.
