With Gensokyo starting to shape up and with more time on my hands again, I've been relatively inspired to get some more work done. The palanquin now serves as a psuedo-ferry to various landmarks (currently Myouren Temple, SDM, and the Moriya Shrine). Originally I was going to make it a bit like the zeppelin system from WoW where it just operates on a pre-set schedule to different points, but instead decided to let the player choose where they want to go since the map is so large. It can be a speedy/lazy way to get around.

That also winded up leading into something else since it seemed like a good opportunity - I've cooked up a little demo of interactive NPCs, they're a bit more refined now. Ideally they'd be scattered around and offer varying levels of interactivity and dialogue to help bring the world alive. What do you think?
