Have you tried running "chksdk /r" to check if it's really a HDD problem? If the disk isn't ruined, a reformat (low level, just to be sure) and Windows reinstall should solve everything.

Do you have any CD-RW drives lying around? If you can use your PC for 15 minutes, you could download and burn a Live CD and get back some functionality and stability (at least a keyboard).

And did you see the awful sales figure of the boss(Ayaya)'s last album? Not even 5k. Truly sad.
