there's not much else to know here really, any prospect of him returning can't happen because rosa's dead and we'll never go far back enough to see him because umi's not at higurashi levels to get random spin-offs like that, and so long as that's the case ryukishi has no reason or opportunity to make him another expy of some other character he's used before
he'll forever be intangible because there's no reason for him to be tangible
