You can't hook the text directly because emulators don't show the ingame text using standard Windows methods (which AGTH & co intercept and easily extract the text to be shown). So you'll have to be creative and pipe the text into some Windows program, which will show it and hook AGTH to that program's output instead of the emulator's. I'm using ArtMoney here, but Cheat Engine will probably do as well.
Basically, you'll have to find the text string that you see in the game's message box in the memory of an emulated system, make ArtMoney show this string and hook its output (which is made using standard Windows methods now) with AGTH.
Myself;Yourself and its sequel always copy the current string to the same memory location (pictured) and PCSX2 always stores (all 32MB of) PS2's RAM at 0x20000000, so setting up the toolchain in this case is relatively easy.
