I hate to say it but you might want to look into using shapes and stuff to help pose and structure the anatomy, vs form or shape. I know a lot of people teach not to use these methods. But sometimes it is the quickest way to see the underling form. You just have to understand not to use them as a crutch.

I really dislike people using photos to do life drawing studies. Since it is a flat image your not really understanding the forms and shapes in perspective. Nothing replaces drawing a real person. But not everyone has access to or has time/money to pay for classes or a studio to do this.

I suggest googling for life drawing stuff and how to draw the human figure, look at fashion DIY books since these teach quick form on the body. Also look up *Burne Hogarth*, lots of images online and the books are fairly cheap, hell library has em free. His work really helps when you do not have access to a studio for life drawing.

I would just not worry about clothing at this stage just the body then you can do studies on how cloth falls and all of that.

When you do sessions just do loose fast drawings, do not worry about details like hair, faces, fingers, clothing etc.

Quick fast doodles with long lines. Once you get the hang of that then you can work at only laying keeper lines in a image.

Lastly, maybe we should open a help me draw thread. I think some would rather not read/see discussion outside of OC. I have not lurked here in ages so I dunno what the etiquette is here anymore.
