Try playing with number of lines. You do 4 lines every time and it gets predictable.
If you suddenly don't insert a fourth one, or make it shorter/longer than it should, people will be thrown off and this is a good attention grabber. Just be sure to correctly connect it with the next section.

Is that the PianoOne VST? I love using it.
I don't think it feels cheesy, but rather hispanic. Which it IS in fact, so yeah, you moved the music from generic piano style to ay caramba.
The melodies evolve in an interesting way, I just feel the intro doesn't connect very convincingly into the main music, specifically the note played at 00:16. I was expecting something else, not sure how to put it.

Not much of a structure, so I feel at loss. The textures are pretty tasty though.
