I cried during that part too, actually.
I don't remember what Reverie talked about exactly but wasn't it something like how earth is beautiful and that humanity would eventually overcome their discrepancies and live together in peace? Pretty heartbreaking if you consider that earth was all but destroyed and humanity was pretty much annihilated at that point because of a global war.

Planetarian also had one of the saddest endings I've come across so far.
I don't care what the drama CDs say, that guy died right then and there. He drops his gun and accepts death with dignity, he's ready to leave that horrible world behind and reunite with Reverie in the afterlife, some forced happy ending where he survives by deus ex machina would completely ruin that final scene for me. That's just my opinion though.
