Life is about balance. If all you do is consume your hobbies without creating or making anything of your life on the side then it's a given you'll end up feeling empty and sluggish eventually. You should use that love for Vocaloid you have as a fuel to do something.
There has to be something that you can both do and that also fulfills you... in the end only you can tell. I'm not even telling you that a big change in your life is the solution, as perhaps just a small one is needed to make these negative feelings of yours go away.
Regarding Vocaloid, because of its nature, if you were to contribute, you could technically make it live for as long as you live. Yeah that's true, all by yourself you could make Miku and the others live on until your last breath. All these questions you ask indeed seem very meaningless to me; I don't feel the need to reassure myself replying "I'll always love Miku!", nor I'm telling myself that "it might stop someday". That's a non-question. I know it's been by my side and how important it's been, and is by my side right now, and I love that, and that's all there is to it - as what matters I believe is being mindful of the present.

... but perhaps everything I just typed won't make sense to you, or you'll think it's cringe and can't relate. We're all different after all. I know not everyone has artistic wishes in life, or even any strong need to create anything... so if that's your case, then perhaps as anon said you'll eventually just move on to being obsessed into something else, and so on, until the end.
