The newspaper in question, Charlie Hebdo, was a leftist anarchist paper in the 80's. Nowadays, it has become a racist and shitty hellhole, with permanent in-joke about Mahomet's sodomizing 9 years old.

By 2012, several articles by serious papers, like the Monde Diplomatique, explained that Charlie Hebdo's turn to the shitty was both irresponsible and dangerous. By adding fuel to the fire, they only bred hatred and contempt, hiding behind the "freedom of speech".
