The trip to the bamboo forest is calm so both it's no surprise when both of them get engrossed in talking and realize a little too late, they are lost in the bamboo forest.
"I'm sure we passed that rock twice already!"
Shouts the princess of the barrel as she peeks her head out.
"I'm sure we did, I think we are a bit more than lost at this point."
Kagerou sighs, the heavy barrel starting to take its toll on her after such a long time of walking.
"Maybe we should stop for a while and ask for help?"
"From who, the only other residents of the bamboo forest are the rabbits and the occasional fairies. And I'v never seen anyone but the rabbits leave the mansion. "
"Well, how bout her?"
Following the pointing finger of her friend Kagerou notices a human sitting on a rock in the distance.
"They are likely just as lost as we are, but not like we have much to loose at this point"
Heading over Wakasagihime shouts a greeting at the figure.
"Hello! How do you do, we would like to ask for directions."
The human had been watching them approach for a little while now, the barrel not being exactly stealthy.
"Hello there, you sure aren't what I was expecting. When I noticed someone was lost in the bamboos I was sure it was another human"
The human stands up and starts walking towards them
"Sure I can give you two directions, but how did you get lost in your own backyard?"
Pointing at Kagerou the human raises an eyebrow
"It's not my fault, it's this damn magical barrier. I usually keep out of this area completely!"
Kagerou snaps back, trying to hide the blush on her cheeks.
"Oh thank you very much! I really should give you a reward, would this gem do?"
Waggy turns around a couple times looking for a suitable offering and settles on the gem hanging from her neck.
"no no, I could never. This is kinda like a hobby for me, and besides I could not break such a nice matching set of jewels apart."
With slight confusion Wakasagihime looks back at her hand seeing only one gem.
"But I only have one of these, what do you mean?"
"Isn't it a pair for the red ruby on her brooch?"
With that both Kagerou and Wakasagihime turn to look at the jewel hanging from her hood
"Oh! It is, isn't! Hehe, we watch Kagerou-chan!"
Like a bunch of school girls both of them start swooning over their gems and comparing them, while Mokou leads them out of the forest in relative silence.
"And here you go, try not to wander aimlessly in the bamboo forest again"
"Thank you so very much Mokou-chan, I hope we can visit your some other day!"
"I'm sorry for the trouble, I didn't mean to make you push her barrel as well"
"It's fine, now get going it's starting to get late"
With a wave they part ways and Kagerou brings Waggy back to her lake with no further adventures.

When they reach the lake, both of them are so exhausted they promise to do this again in a week as usual and wish each other a good night as they part ways.
Waggy swims back to her home, and finds it in the same state as she left it.
An issue for tomorrow, she is far too tired to start setting up her collection again.
For now she finds the most visible spot in her cave and displays her newest greatest treasure so she can always look at it, to remember this day and her dear friend.
