Yea I would agree with that too, I think people would be happy if protag were less self insert material and more an actual character. Some people I imagine would be more militant against such an idea I'd imagine though.

I fucking despise timeskips, they are one of the things I'll never tolerate in vns or anything really. There is never a good reason for it they take things they wrapped up nicely you're sitting there thinking "damn that was a nice time with a good ending" then actually years later in an epilogue they're like but wait there's more! When they could easily leave it to your imagination.

The Hscene part I don't think I agree with entirely, I don't think it's bad to have vanilla hscenes, in moege at least the hscenes are more about the love than how varied and wild the sex can get. Not to say I don't like varied stuff, but I just don't have a problem with "boring" hscenes.
