All deaths are accidental.

All of them.

Episode 8 will be a hilarious black comedy where every time they try to cover up deaths someone accidentally dies. Rudolf is comedically incompetent, and Kyrie is comedically clumsy.

I mean, 6 year olds dig that shit you know? Family comedies? Yeah I should know, I'm an older brother.

Hey /jp/, sorry for posting what's on my mind, but some things about Umineko keep bugging me.

What is the common denominator in all the Umineko games? We know that something is premeditated for the family conference. But then what is it that causes each game do diverge? Why are the ways people are killed different? How come the culprit in every game is trying to make Battler believe in witches? If the culprit varies in each game, then shouldn't the motives vary? I have a hard time why different peple would both follow the witche's epitaph in the killings.

If we look at Higurashi, the common denominator in all the arcs is Miyo, but do to different actions characters take during the course of each loop, the murders and murderers are different, all different motives. Higurashi loops are about 2 weeks or more long (I don't remember).

So in Umineko, a loop only lasts a couple days, so the murderer and culprits seem to be decided in the first night, most likely during the family conferences. Why always following the epitaph? Also, why does it seem to me, like everyone is in on it against Battler? Episode 4 I find really reinforces this. What does Battler see?

He is in the guest house.
The servants rush in and tell what happened in the dining room. There story of course must be at least somewhat fabricated.
A call is recieved from Krauss and the others, who say they are in a dungeon. Are they really in a dungeon?
A call is recieved from Jessica who tells not to doubt and to believe the apparitions are real.
A call is recieved from Kyrie who says to believe in witches and stuff too.

Why does it seem like everyone is trying to convince Battler magic exists?
What causes the culprit to change each game?
Does the culprit change?
What is the common link between all the episodes?

Does anyone have any thoughts?
