How is that doing the same thing? I just have to deal with too many elitist people in my hobbies and areas of work who I'm miles better than. It's hilarious seeing some miserable shithead lecture another person about being able to do something. For example, in animation I come across many people who are unable to animate a punch properly, yet give good advice on it. That's fine as long as they're leading one another in the right direction. Only problem is with people that do this shit and are like you. They attack someone while being completely incompetent in every way, including the fundamentals.

There's no reason to attack someone parroting something as long as there aren't any glaring mistakes that could lead beginners astray. The only thing that would prompt you to attack him is wanting to feel superior, which is extremely cringy. The only reason you'd have for not being the obnoxious prick that you are in this situation is if he said something wrong, or misinterpreted the purpose.

Otherwise, you keep your mouth shut, miserable cunt.
