Does anyone know why hags are so into cults in Japan? I read about Hiroko Shimabukuro (hag singer who married a man about a decade younger than her) being really obsessed with this recently deceased gaijin psychic, and Noriko Sakai (also a hag singer who got into a drug scandal with her loser boyfriend) was also really into the same guy's books and sermons.

I ask this because Sakura Aida was also really into a cult run by some black guy and posted about it on twitter. Seems like older women are easily sucked into cults in Japan.
