i actually never knew that, because i always assumed pekora was successful off the bat. Its a testament to how strong miko is as well, because she gave that support to pekora when needed. its like a player who never succeeded on a team, but when given the chance to succeed, he takes it and accels into stardom. Its a remarkable story as well for peko, even if she isnt a favorite of mine. Hell, her maturity is motivation for me
