Was just binging old Ghibli movies and decided to rewatch Porco Rosso since it's been a while. Had deja vu about the plot around a third way in, then picrel shows up and it all clicks together. And so, on today's episode of Dendro's "Spot the Source Material."

10/10, fuck you Kaidou, I know I've heard that name somewhere before. What's next? Mononoke? Spirited Away? Grave of the Fireflies?

Haganai is beloved for a reason, anon. Yomi can and does write pretty engaging dialogue. Imosae can probably be described as the Bakuman of (actual) LN writers. It's chock full of self-refencing, inside jokes, and manuals on how to do your taxes but delivered in a way that doesn't feel stale at all. Itsuki can be rather infuriating at times, yet one can't exactly say they don't understand why he did it. It's soulful and it ends on a good note, can't demand more than that desu. Also, blessed be Kantoku.

>death march art is always so ugly
There, fixed that for you. shri can't draw for fuck's sake. Thank goodness his other LN got canned early on.

>that was an interesting use of povs
Horn/ヘルン's switcheroo part I assume? I personally like the "How to pick up girls in a dungeon" training montage more desu. It always cracks me up imagining the innocent boy trying to act like James Bond in a quest for bitches.
