yes, you can find some evidences from Aya's spellcard names

Aya is a tengu, and the prototype of tengu is Sarutahiko (猿田彦, サルタヒコ)
Sarutahiko's intro: The god who lighted up the heaven and the earth from Yachimata (crossroads in the heaven), when the Divine Grandson descended to earth

and in MoF, 4 of Aya's spellcards are:
《岐》符「《天の八衢》」(Crossroad Sign "Crossroads of Heaven")

《塞》符「《天孫降臨》」(Blockade Sign "Advent of the Divine Grandson")
《塞》符「《天上天下》の照國」(Blockade Sign "Terukuni Shining Through Heaven and Earth")

here in spellcard names, Sarutahiko is mixed w/ Chimata's origins, the god of crossroads (岐の神) & god of blockade (塞の神), which kinda implies these 3 gods are actually the same one
and be reminded that MoF was released 14 years ago in 2007

if this means that Chimata is not only the god of market, but also signifies Sarutahiko, we can somehow explain why Megumu doesn't want Chimata to regain her power
caus a reviving new leader, not to mention a real ancestor, will definitely pose challenges to tengus' hierarchical society under Tenma's rule
