Completed Kodachi's, Kanasuke's, Ureshino's and half of Sakuraba's routes in 大図書館の羊飼い and I think I'm done. The group shenanigans in the common route are fun, and the mystery is compelling enough. Kanasuke's chemistry with the MC is so good that her route is now probably my favorite in terms of moege romances. If anyone has any recommendations for similar scenarios, I'd love to hear them. I dropped Sakuraba's midway through because it felt very standard: heroine has problem, gets sad, MC does all the emotional support and pep talks her out of it.
True route starts out well, everything involving the 羊飼い was really interesting and thought-provoking, but ultimately they're not fleshed out as much as I was hoping for. I like how the conflict of ideologies in the election arc is a representation of Kodachi's struggle with what it means to be a 羊飼い, but the preparation of the events drags on a bit too long, and the gag harem love war felt forced and out of character most of the time. The ending was expected given that it's a light-hearted story, it's not bad or disappointing by any means, but it left me itching for a nakige/bittersweet route where the MC chooses to become a 羊飼い, but that would have required them to be more developed.
Also, the writer clearly has an 男の娘 fetish, it's kinda silly how much influence the MC's cross-dressing has on the plot.
