There are only a handful of kinds.

First, there are those trains and railway systems that are so legendary that they have become youkai themselves. Surely there are some youkai trains: railroad history goes back well over one hundred years and stories of ghost trains and witch trains abound.

Second, there may be observational / pleasure ride trains. In a world where most named characters fly and unnamed characters are either monsters, subsistence farmers, or very insular creatures, there is no need for mass transit. So any passenger train would be for luxury only. Most likely they would be run by the Kappas.

Third, if the Kappas had mines, they might also want small trains to carry stuff to and from them, particularly if they have no good beasts of burden; and it wouldn't be outside their technological reach to build them.

Gensokyo isn't terribly big, though. There might not be room for full-on railway systems.

Meanwhile, in non-retard land, it looks like the translations on the wiki have been restored to the actual English language and considerably touched up besides.
