I'm currently checking and the issue seems to be more that the defected angels proceeded to teach humanity how to build weapons and sorcery rather than just the nephilims. Like, if the offsprings were the issue itself it wouldn't warrant a flood. But a human race corrupted in this new environment where everyone has big dick weapons and sorcery at their disposal in addition to the nephilim roaming the Earth sure sounds like a bigger deal.
Regardless of canonicity status and reasons for the Flood, fascinating to see a book detailing how some angels started lusting after humanity and going around teaching their crafts to them. Can totally see some thousands of years old hag angels abusing their knowledge like that.

Depends on the angel. It isn’t like we ever got somethinng written out that lusting for an angel or procreating with one is a sin. If anything the deluge only happened when the vast majority of the population was too sinful. And this is in the Old Testament when God was more… direct in His methods. Even then the angels had bred with humans, so if it was such a big deal instead of having notes over how those descendants died on the deluge we’d have some anecdote of the angel and angelfucker being punished for that.
