It is a success for the vocaloid community because it means that there are a ton of newblood rookies that can make great songs.
It is a success for the event as that was the biggest reason why they held this event.

Speaking of events; Vocacolle is much more fun to participate. During the event you can listen to the current hour's top 100 songs on the vocacolle website without getting cucked by niconico (no LQ mode with 64kbps audio or multiple tabs blocker).
