2007 is before GAME came out which is when they got famous while their genre changed from akiba-kei (I had no idea what this was until i searched but I guess thats what their old shit went under) to electro pop, they still were considered idols even though they were technically not. this could be the case for your baby metal situation but this isn't an argument of if they were idols is is an argument saying the are no longer idols. seeing as baby metal are still treated as idiols I'm going to call them idiols.

when they are recognized as a rock group in 2016 you can say they stopped being an idiol group in 2014 if you like.
