I once was in love with a Japanese student at my high school way back in 2001-2002. She was beautiful and has the biggest cutest eyes I had ever seen(she was half Japanese). I failed in my quest though. A few years later I talked with her in 2005 on the phone for about 2 hours. I found out that one of the reasons why she did not take me seriously as a love interest back in 2001 was because she had thought I only liked her for her Japanese culture, and not her. When I told her that I had always liked her because of her. After I told her this, she said she felt depressed and was sorry about the way she acted at that time. If we would have had classes together now, we might have gotten together.

So moral of the story... DON'T LET HER THINK you ONLY like her because of her Japaneseness(but of course you do, but you will have to hide it well).
