Encountered this in tae kim's grammar guide
>夜、遅くまで電話してはならない。
>You must not use the phone until late at night.
The English translation is too ambiguous to explain the Japanese sentence. Does it mean you must wait until it's late at night to use the phone, or that you must get off the phone before it's late at night?
