I consider my japanese to be decent currently, since I'm able to read moege and some shonen manga. What I did was create a huge backlog filled with the most famous untranslated VNs. When I felt unmotivated, I would watch their OP over and over until I thought "I gotta learn japanese so I can read this shit". It worked pretty well, honestly.

I am considering reading Muramasa and already have the translation software installed (TA and ITH). I have heard that it is really good but i don't know whether or not it's even worth reading it using the translation from the software.

Hello /jp/, I have a question for you.

Allow me to preface that I'm not an avid 4chan browser by any means, at most I'll spend 20 minutes every few weeks answering question on /3/. All that to say, I'm sorry if this is a common question, and I don't know if this is exactly the proper board for my question, but I'll proceed anyway (I'll be sure to delete my thread promptly if it is not).

I'm looking to get into visual novels, not dating sims per se, but something engaging to me that I can interact with while I'm on the computer, as a short break from doing work.

I'm not too familiar with many titles, but I have played some of the more well known releases like Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai and Saya no Uta, but I'm going to assume /jp/ is a lot more familiar with this medium.

I'll take any suggestions you have for me, be it an essentials list or otherwise. Links would also be very helpful, but I figure I can get most of them off mediafire.
