I don't think either of her kids ended up being fuckups. It's a big stretch to say that's what the movie was about. I think it wasn't 'about' anything in particular but was an amalgam of fun and occasionally sad sequences centered around the girl's life as a mate and mother.

Various people are meant to be able to identify with it, like people who've felt or are feeling love, people who've lost a spouse or parent, people who have raised or are raising kids on their own, people who sought or are seeking independence from their parents, and people who voluntarily embrace simple lives in rural areas. Also others I can't think of.

Yeah. The part where the wolfbabbies were still babbies was the best part of the movie. The ending is supposed to be the best part.
