On one of the most recent GuruRaji episodes Karin told Maiko that she thought all the food she posted on SNS looked super delicious and that she would love to be able to cook like she does.
Needless to say Mai quickly jumped at the opportunity and offered to have some personal cooking "dates" with her so that she could teach her all the basics. Mai was also urging her to go on an art museum date and aquarium date with her as well (two of Karin's favorite leisure spots).
She's a really kind girl, honestly it just seems like she views Karin as a little sister.
