I was looking up Ryukishi interviews and came across this which made me cringe super fucking hard, holy shit. This interviewer was a fucking madman.

I don't want to translate it but basically R07 talks about how nowadays nobody writes the kind of closed off island western mansion mysteries like Umineko, then the interviewer immediately lists off a bunch of novels that have been written recently that have a similar present THEN adds a cynical comment about how R07 is such a genius for coming up with such a masterpiece without knowing about these. And then afterwards Ryukishi immediately apologizes, god, it hurts me just to read it, lmao.

I wonder if R07 regrets saying shit like this in these interviews.
