Most gravure models end up getting replace by the same looking but younger versions of themselves in short years of time. Only a few make it longer. Plus magazines get monopolized by the more popular gravure models so not much work there if you aren't that popular. Even Shoko Takahashi who had popularity as a gravure model had to bang some dudes on the side to make some money to get by before making the jump to JAV.
