No, it has never been free of trolling and shitposting. But the trolling wasn't nearly as bad, often even being entertaining. Now it's just the same old formulaic <stupid statement> <my face when you make stupid statement> <you are autistic>. We had troll reposts back then as well, but people either responded differently each time or just didn't respond to the thread.
