VN Sacchin is a fucking badass.
For some reason they reused her character design in the anime on another character also named Sacchin. I don't know who that person was though.

/jp/, I need to get something off my chest about Yumizuka Satsuki
here and many other places on the internet I often hear people saying things like "baaaaw i want my satsuki route" or "isn't it sad, sacchin? ;_;"
However, I would like to point out that Yumizuka Satsuki already has a complete route with a beginning, middle, and arguably "good" end.
If you follow the typical Akiha route, but choose not to investigate the alley at midnight after chasing Sacchin through town, you get a Satsuki end. After killing half the school, she confesses and Shiki becomes her vampiric love-slave. This is the only "bad" ending, I believe, where Shiki not only doesn't die, but even technically ends up with a girl! When you walk her home the previous day, you even get a romantic scene with some backstory and a custom cg. Sure, it's the shortest route in the game, and there's no ero-scene, but I think technically it's fallacious to say that "There is no Yumizuka Satsuki route" in Tsukihime.

Hey /jp/ I'm a bit of a writefag in my spare time and I've recently been looking for character names for my current project. Realizing that most of my influence is Japanese media I have been debating whether or not my character should have Japanese names. My common sense tells me that is far too weeaboo, but what I have written feels similar to a TM or Boogiepop light novel and Katawa Shoujo seems to have proven that the use of Japanese names is acceptable to at least a niche western audience (when it fits the media). I think someone put it "Visual Novels are mostly Japanese so it would be natural to use Japanese names?" I guess it could be the same for a light novel format?

tldr; What's /jp/'s opinion on using jap names in western writing?
