Complete newfag to VNs and /jp/ in general here, I caved and read/played/watched/whatever Higurashi and I really liked it. Now I want to try Umineko since it's by the same dudes and people won't shut up about it all over 4chan. Any idea where I can find it? I searched the tpb and nyaatorrents but didn't find any that were well seeded.

Also any patches I should be aware of like translations or graphics packs?

Hey /jp/
so, I really want to get into Seacats, and I remember reading through most of the first game. Problem is, I don't have a lot of spare time right now to do it. How long should it take me? Should I try the anime or is it bad? I don't like studio DEEN much.

Man Studio DEEN managed to get the When They Cry series popular and translated. You would think the fanbase would be appreciative given no other studio would waste time adapting that doujin shit. And then they still have the gal to call DEEN names which I don't like to repeat on 4chan for not giving their doujin garbage a high budget.

Was the anime version of Umineko no Naku Koro ni the same as the VN? What episodes did it contain? Did it just make a completely new episode? Is it so shit that I shouldn't bother watching it?

A question, /jp/: why is Umineko being read by so many people when it's not even finished being written yet, let alone translated? Surely waiting until the whole thing is done before starting makes far more sense than waiting half a year between episodes?
