What do you mean "change the band"? They're not replacing anyone after a couple of years like they do with Sakura Gakuin. This is the same Babymetal since 2011, I mean the touring musicians switch around but the girls are always the same.

I think that Koba and the higher-ups at Amuse definitely saw the potential in them around 2012 when they started doing shows on their own without Sakura Gakuin, and it's not like their success was overnight especially not in japan, but yeah the reaction from Gimme Choco and their album was probably nowhere near what they though it would be like.

I don't have the exact quotes but the people behind babymetal had no idea that it would be as big as it got, never thought that they would go on a world tour and everything that's happened this year.
