It's an honest question, and anime is an important part of otaku culture. You could argue that Japanese language threads belong on /lang/, "RONERY" / NEET / hikikomori threads belong on /r9k/, imagedumps on /c/, etc etc. If /jp/ were only Touhou and figures, it'd suck.

Oh, I'm watching Persona 4 too, forgot to say that. The animation quality's been bad but it's a really fun show! I never played the games but it's really fun.
